Thread: WINE unable to detect discs

please can me!

struggling install form of software wine not detect cds. if install software requires 1 disc, insert it, detects, installs, when want run software tells me insert disc disc not present, disc in , did not eject it.

tried install software 2 or more cds, install fine until asks me second disk, load in, click next , not detect it.

have tried mount , unmount , nothing works, have tried latest , previous versions of wine , restarted laptop many times.

idea do?

here try :

1. make , iso image out of cd/dvd have.
2. once created, mount iso image in folder in, lets say, home directory (/home/user/isomount example).
3. once iso mounted, open wine config, drives tab , add new drive mapping, specifying path iso mounted in step 2.
4. once second disk asked, give path leads (most same path mounted first iso beleive, means have mount 1rst iso, unmount it, mount second iso , on)
